Getting Started

How do I search for medication side effects?

To search for a medication's side effects:

  1. Go to our homepage
  2. Type the medication name in the search box
  3. Select the correct medication from the dropdown suggestions
  4. Click "Search" or press Enter

The results will show common, serious, and less common side effects for that medication.

What if I can't find my medication?

If you can't find your medication:

  • Try searching by both brand and generic names (e.g., search for both "Prozac" and "fluoxetine")
  • Check your spelling
  • Try a more general search term (e.g., "blood pressure medication" instead of a specific drug name)
  • Contact us if you believe a medication should be included in our database

Using Advanced Features

How does the comparison tool work?

Our comparison tool lets you view side effects for multiple medications side by side:

  1. Search for your first medication
  2. Click the "Compare" button in the results
  3. Search for additional medications to compare
  4. Use the comparison view to see differences in side effect profiles

  • PDF: Download your results as a PDF file
  • Excel: Export the data to a spreadsheet format
